The next-gen upgrade comes with the usual trappings, with support for 4K and 60fps gameplay, but the PS5 upgrade will also come with DualSense capabilities, as the game will use the controller’s haptic features to emulate the road surfaces you’ll race on. As for digital PS4 copies, you can download the PS5 upgrade from November 19th if you’re in the rest of the world, but America has to wait until December 8th for some reason.

Inserting the PS4 game into your PS5 will allow you to download the digital version of WRC 9 for PS5 once it becomes available, though you will of course need the big PS5 for that and not the digital only version. Lastly, America has to wait until December 8th to get WRC 9 from retail.Īs for the PS4 to PS5 conversion, physical PS4 copies have a much easier upgrade path. The rest of the world will see a retail release on the same day as the PS5’s launch, November 19th, while Australia and New Zealand can get physical copies on December 3rd.
